Cody Erickson was cold coming off the bench, but Erickson warmed up quickly as Erickson stroked a key pinch-hit single in the four to lead the Top Speed Baseball (24-2) to a 10-2 win over the Humboldt Crabs on Sunday at Arcata Ballpark.
With the game scoreless in the fourth inning Erickson came to the plate and singled.
Erickson racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Top Speed Baseball.
Everything was working at the plate for the the Top Speed Baseball in the fourth. In the inning the Top Speed Baseball scored 10 runs. The Top Speed Baseball scored in the fourth on , an RBI single by Cesar Rodriguez, a two-run single by Ryan Schalch, , a two-run single by Grant St. Martin, a hit by pitch, and a two-run single by Erickson.
The Top Speed Baseball got the win thanks in large part to Diego Ibarra's dominant, six-strikeout performance. Ibarra allowed two earned runs, four hits and three walks over six innings.
Billy Ray Montes couldn't get it done on the bump for the Humboldt Crabs, taking a loss. He allowed 10 runs in nine innings, walked nine and struck out 12.
