Shevan DeFreitas carried the SW Oregon (13-2) to a 7-2 victory over the Big Bend on Sunday with a strong game at the plate and on the hill.

DeFreitas racked up two RBIs on one hit for the SW Oregon. He homered in the fourth inning.

DeFreitas got the win for the SW Oregon thanks to 10 strikeouts. DeFreitas allowed no earned runs on six hits and no walks over seven innings.

Olivia Harrison was solid at the plate for the Big Bend (2-7). Harrison went 2-3, drove in one and scored one run. He doubled in the second innings and singled in the fourth inning.

Harrison ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in seven innings, walked six and struck out five.
