Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Sunday as the Walla Walla (7-9) outscored the Olympic (2-14) 17-8 in five innings.
The two teams combined for 27 hits in the game.
Thirteen runs in the first three innings helped the Walla Walla blow out the Olympic. A hit by pitch, a hit by pitch, a single by Anna Williams, , a sacrifice fly by Mickenzie Mullins, and a two-run single by Mackenzie Watts in the first inning and a double by Williams, an error, a two-run single by Erin Ware, an RBI single by Mullins, a two-run double by Carli Taylor, and an RBI single by Lyndzie Parker during the second inning supplied the early offense for the Walla Walla.
Williams racked up four RBIs on two hits for the Walla Walla.
Nicki Jacobson racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Olympic. He doubled in the fourth inning and singled in the fourth inning.
Devin Chandler got the win for the Walla Walla despite allowing six runs over 3 1/3 innings. Chandler struck out two, walked three and gave up five hits.
The Walla Walla easily handled the Olympic pitching as seven hitters combined for 12 hits, 13 RBIs and nine runs scored.
Alyssa Espirity took the loss for the Olympic. He allowed 10 runs in one inning, walked three and struck out none.
