The Cotuit Kettleers cruise past the Chatham Anglers, 7-1

The Cotuit Kettleers (7-16) pounded the Chatham Anglers (11-12) on Tuesday 7-1 at Veterans Field.

A two-run double by A.J. Balta delivered the runs in the fifth. The Cotuit Kettleers had three hits in the inning.

Balta racked up three RBIs on four hits for the Cotuit Kettleers.

Justin Hooper brought the heat against the Chatham Anglers during his outing. The Chatham Anglers managed just one hit off of the the Cotuit Kettleers' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out two during his 3 1/3 innings of work.

Kyle Adams did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Chatham Anglers, reaching base three times. He also drove in one runner. He singled in the fifth inning and doubled in the seventh inning.

Taylor Lehman improved to 3-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Cotuit Kettleers. He allowed one run over 2 2/3 innings. Lehman struck out one, walked one and gave up four hits.

Andrew Karp (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just five innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed four runs.
