The Brewster Whitecaps (8-7) built an early lead against the Falmouth Commodores (7-7), scoring four runs in the first inning, en route to a 11-6 win on Monday at Arnie Allen Diamond.

Kel Johnson racked up five RBIs on two hits for the Brewster Whitecaps. He homered in the first inning and singled in the second inning.

Paul Young had an impressive outing against the Falmouth Commodores' lineup. Young held the Falmouth Commodores hitless over one inning, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.

Ryan Chandler racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Falmouth Commodores. He homered in the sixth inning.

Konnor Pilkington got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He struck out three, walked two and surrendered no hits.

Jacob Godfrey (1-1) took the loss for the Falmouth Commodores. He allowed nine runs in three innings, walked one and struck out none.
