The Chatham Anglers (6-6) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 4-2 to the Brewster Whitecaps (7-5) on Friday.

The Chatham Anglers had no answer for Zacary Lowther, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Chatham Anglers managed just one hit off of Lowther, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out nine during his 3 2/3 innings of work.

Matt Pidich ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just zero innings, walked two, struck out none, and allowed two runs.
