Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Tuesday as the Boca Raton Blazers (14-15) outscored the Phipps Park Barracudas (12-17) 9-8.
The two teams combined for 25 hits in the game.
JJ Woodard had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He singled in the third inning and doubled in the first and fifth innings.
Cristian Sanchez put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Phipps Park Barracudas. He doubled in the second and fourth innings.
Even though Michael Koltak allowed eight runs over nine innings he still recorded the victory, his sixth of the season. He struck out 10, walked three and surrendered 12 hits.
Jack Kelly (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just 3 2/3 innings, walked five, struck out seven, and allowed five runs.
The Boca Raton Blazers' Brett Malm, Peter Moforis and Woodard combined for eight hits and six RBIs.
