Andreas Papageorge had two extra base hits as the Delray Beach Lightning (4-1) took home a 10-7 victory over the Phipps Park Barracudas (0-4) at Forrest Hill H.S. on Monday.
He doubled in the first and sixth innings.The Phipps Park Barracudas had no answer for Deavan Phillips, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Phillips held the Phipps Park Barracudas hitless over three innings, allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out four.
Will Shackelford racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Phipps Park Barracudas. He tripled in the fourth innings and singled in the ninth inning.
Moises Carrasco recorded his first win of the year for the Delray Beach Lightning. He struck out one, walked none and surrendered one hit.
Robert Moss was charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed six runs in 2 2/3 innings, walked two and struck out four.
