The Florida Pokers (2-0) beat the Phipps Park Barracudas (0-3) 7-6 in seven innings on Saturday at Forrest Hill H.S. behind Justin Lara, who went 2-3.

The Phipps Park Barracudas' lineup had no answer for Mason Kleist. The Phipps Park Barracudas managed just two hits off of the the Florida Pokers' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out five during his 2 1/3 innings of work.

Collin Ridout racked up four RBIs on two hits for the Phipps Park Barracudas. He homered in the first inning and singled in the third inning.

The Florida Pokers had no answer for Andy Mitchell, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Florida Pokers managed just one hit off of Mitchell, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out four during his three innings of work.

Tristan McGinnis improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Florida Pokers. He allowed one run over two innings. He struck out none, walked none and surrendered one hit.

Casey Santos-Ocampo ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just 1 2/3 innings, walked none, struck out three, and allowed three runs.
