The Walla Walla (22-18) blew out the Big Bend (8-26) 8-0 on Saturday at Walla Walla Community College S after pouring on five runs in the fifth inning.

The Walla Walla scored in the fifth on a single by Taylor Erbst, , a double by Anna Williams, a single by Mackenzie Watts, a single by Mikayla Faulkner, and a sacrifice fly by Lyndzie Parker.

The Walla Walla were led by Faulkner's hitting. Faulkner went 2-3, drove in one and scored two runs.

Mallory Chavez held the Big Bend scoreless during his five innings of work. He pitched a shutout, allowing no opposing players to cross the plate on four hits while ringing up one.

Olivia Harrison (2-12) took the loss for the Big Bend. He allowed eight runs in 4 2/3 innings, walked four and struck out one.
