The North Idaho (31-9) beat the Wenatchee Valley 9-3 in seven innings on Saturday at North Idaho after a five-run explosion in the sixth inning.

The North Idaho scored in the sixth on a groundout by Katie Barron, a solo home run by Nikki Miller, , and a solo home run by Kekuulani Haake.

Haake racked up four RBIs on two hits for the North Idaho.

Barron got the win, running his season record to 16-5. Barron struck out one, walked one and gave up two hits.

Kylee Lambert ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just four innings, walked two, struck out none, and allowed four runs.
