A walk-off single from Lamar Briggs brought home the winning run for the D.C. Grays (10-16) in a 5-4 victory over the Gaithersburg Giants in 10 innings at Washington Nationals Academy on Tuesday.
Briggs led the D.C. Grays' offensive threat, as he got on base four times in the game. He scored one run and had one RBI. He singled in the third, seventh, and tenth innings.
Jacob Erikson recorded his third win of the year for the D.C. Grays. He struck out two, walked one and surrendered one hit.
Adam Neveski was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just 2 2/3 innings, walked two, struck out two, and allowed one run.
