Justin Morris went 2-3, sparking the Bethesda Big Train (17-7) to a 1-0 victory over the Alexandria Aces (14-11) on Sunday at Frank Mann Field.
He singled in the seventh and ninth innings.The Alexandria Aces couldn't get anything going as long as Stephen Schoch was pitching. Schoch held the Alexandria Aces hitless over three innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one.
Despite the loss, the Alexandria Aces' Chesdin Harrington dominated the Bethesda Big Train's batters, giving up one run and striking out eight.
Drew Strotman recorded his third win of the year for the Bethesda Big Train. He struck out three, walked one and surrendered seven hits.
Harrington couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Alexandria Aces, taking a loss.
