The Weyburn Beavers take out the Edmonton Prospects with help from Mushitz, 7-3

Ethan Mushitz had two extra base hits, sparking the Weyburn Beavers (9-9) to a 7-3 victory over the Edmonton Prospects (7-8) on Tuesday at Tom Laing Park.

He tripled in the fifth inning, homered in the seventh inning, and singled in the eighth inning.

Cole Feazell picked up the win for the Weyburn Beavers. Feazell allowed two earned runs, nine hits and three walks while striking out five over eight innings of work.

A bright spot for the Edmonton Prospects in the defeat was Jordan Parranto, who allowed only one run while striking out five.

Logan Wedgewood led the Edmonton Prospects' offensive threat, as he got on base four times in the game. He singled in the third and ninth innings.

Brenden Wiun (1-3) took the loss for the Edmonton Prospects. He lasted just 3 1/3 innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed five runs.

The Weyburn Beavers' Dan Moro, Reed Hjelle and Mushitz combined for seven hits and seven RBIs.
