Luke Wiechec held the Moose Jaw Miller Express (0-2) scoreless for six innings to boost the Swift Current Indians (2-0) to a 10-2 victory.

Wiechec struck out five and allowed two walks and three hits.

The Swift Current Indians blew out the Moose Jaw Miller Express thanks to 14 hits, including zero extra base hits. The Swift Current Indians scored three runs in the seventh on the Swift Current Indians scored in the seventh on an RBI double by Brett Brittany, a wild pitch, and a groundout by Liam Goodall.

Brittany had three extra-base hits for the Swift Current Indians.

Tanner Spencer couldn't get it done on the bump for the Moose Jaw Miller Express, taking a loss. He allowed seven runs in four innings, walked none and struck out two.

The Swift Current Indians' Bodie Cooper, Brittany and Alec Humphreys combined for seven hits and four RBIs.
