The Vienna River Dogs offense too much for the Bethesda Big Train in 15-4 rout

The Vienna River Dogs (4-9) refused to relinquish the lead after grabbing it early against the Bethesda Big Train (7-5), recording a 15-4 victory on Sunday at Shirley Povich Field.

With seven runs in the first three innings, the Vienna River Dogs left no doubt about the eventual outcome.

A three-run home run by Nate Favero in the first inning and an RBI single by Mike Sciorra during the second inning fueled the Vienna River Dogs' offense early.

Favero racked up five RBIs on four hits for the Vienna River Dogs.

Vinny Vincent racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Bethesda Big Train. He homered in the sixth inning.

Matthew Kuhlenberg recorded his second win of the year for the Vienna River Dogs. He allowed two runs over five innings. Kuhlenberg struck out three, walked two and gave up five hits.

Erik Wiebke (0-1) took the loss for the Bethesda Big Train. He allowed seven runs in 2 2/3 innings, walked three and struck out three.
