Both the New York Colonials (3-0) and the Oregon Lumberjacks (2-1) put runners aboard on Sunday, but it was the New York Colonials that were able to take advantage, pulling out a 6-3 win at Palm Springs Stadium.

Keenan Chanin racked up two RBIs on one hit for the New York Colonials. He tripled in the third innings.

Michael Tamburino baffled the Oregon Lumberjacks, striking out eight batters. The New York Colonials' pitcher tossed four innings of shutout ball and allowed only four hits.

John Cruz paced the Oregon Lumberjacks at the plate. Cruz went 2-2 and scored two runs. He tripled in the third inning and singled in the first and seventh innings.

Nolan Atkins got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He allowed three runs over three innings. He struck out four, walked one and surrendered three hits.

Scotty Ward (1-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed six runs in 2 1/3 innings, walked one and struck out five.
