The Palm Desert Coyotes (2-2) had a tough outing on Saturday, as the Alberta Grizzly (1-2) dominated in an 8-2 win in seven innings at Palm Springs Turf Field.

Brian Fay put together a nice outing. Fay held the Palm Desert Coyotes hitless over 1 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two.

Will Gerhard recorded his first win of the year for the Alberta Grizzly. He allowed two runs over five innings. Gerhard struck out two, walked four and gave up four hits.

Matt Oliver couldn't get it done on the hill for the Palm Desert Coyotes, taking a loss. He lasted just three innings, walked two, struck out one, and allowed five runs.
