Aaron Meyer drove in three runs, sparking the DuPage Drones (30-20) to a 9-7 victory in seven innings over the Hannibal Cavemen (11-39) on Wednesday at Clemens Field.
He homered in the first inning and singled in the third and sixth innings.Kyle Kilbourne kept contact to a minimum, striking out six the Hannibal Cavemen batters. Kilbourne allowed two earned runs on three hits and two walks over six innings.
Ross Lemmel racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Hannibal Cavemen. He doubled in the fifth inning and singled in the seventh inning.
Drew Flatford (1-4) took the loss for the Hannibal Cavemen. He allowed seven runs in four innings, walked two and struck out four.
