The Lafayette Aviators (22-23) shut the door early on the Butler BlueSox (20-24), capturing an 11-3 victory on Wednesday at Kelly Automotive Park.

Six runs in the first three innings allowed the Lafayette Aviators to put the game away early.

and a two-run single by Bryce Evans in the second inning helped the Lafayette Aviators put some runs on the board early.

Eric Willis racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Lafayette Aviators.

Peter Ripke pitched lights out for the Lafayette Aviators. The Butler BlueSox managed just two hits off of Ripke, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out three during his three innings of work.

Alex Naiser improved to 1-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Lafayette Aviators. He allowed two runs over 2 2/3 innings. He struck out two, walked two and surrendered four hits.

David Lemasters (2-2) took the loss for the Butler BlueSox. He allowed six runs in three innings, walked three and struck out one.
