Collett leads the Terre Haute Rex to 12-11 win over the Butler BlueSox

Thursday was a great day for TJ Collett, as he clubbed two home runs to carry the Terre Haute Rex (21-16) to a 12-11 victory over the Butler BlueSox (17-20) at Bob Warn Field.

The two teams combined for 23 runs and 28 hits, including zero extra base hits. There were 10 pitchers used in the game as the two managers searched for any way to finish it off.

Will Schneider went a perfect 2-2 at the plate for the Butler BlueSox. He doubled in the fourth inning and singled in the sixth inning.

Donnie Ames improved to 3-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Terre Haute Rex. He struck out one, walked one and surrendered one hit.

Jamie Switalski (0-3) took the loss for the Butler BlueSox. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked none, struck out one, and allowed four runs.

The Terre Haute Rex's James Hill III, Chris Ayers, Niko Decolati and Collett combined for 10 hits and eight RBIs.
