Imani Willis went 2-3 and hit a home run, sparking the DuPage Drones (10-9) to an 8-5 victory in seven innings over the Springfield Sliders (10-8) on Thursday at Benedictine Sports Complex.

It was a good day at the plate for the Springfield Sliders' Trey Hannam. Hannam went 2-3, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the fifth inning and doubled in the sixth inning.

Brent Mattson got his second win for the DuPage Drones despite allowing five runs over 5 2/3 innings. Mattson struck out three, walked three and gave up six hits.

Chance Simpson (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed seven runs in 2 1/3 innings, walked one and struck out three.
