The Licking County Settlers (5-8) beat the Cincinnati Steam (10-2) 4-2 on Saturday at McLeary Fld (Western Hills HS) behind Joe McGuire, who went 2-3.

The Cincinnati Steam had no answer for Bryan Cruse, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Cincinnati Steam managed just three hits off of the the Licking County Settlers' pitcher, who allowed one earned run, walked three and struck out five during his five innings of work.

Evan Korson couldn't get it done on the mound for the Cincinnati Steam, taking a loss. He lasted just six innings, walked two, struck out three, and allowed four runs.
