An outstanding effort by Cody Maw led the Licking County Settlers (1-4) to a 7-0 win over the Richmond Jazz (0-5) on Friday at Don Edwards Stadium.

The biggest inning for the Licking County Settlers was the fourth. In the inning the Licking County Settlers scored six runs. The Licking County Settlers scored in the fourth on a three-run home run by Robert Emery, an error, a fielder's choice, and a steal of home by Nick Vaage.

Emery racked up three RBIs on one hit for the Licking County Settlers.

Maw improved to 1-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Licking County Settlers. Maw struck out six, walked one and gave up no hits.

T.J. Satterly (0-1) took the loss for the Richmond Jazz. He allowed seven runs in six innings, walked five and struck out one.
