The Irish Hills Leprechauns (21-19) beat the Grand Lake Mariners (21-19) 7-6 on Friday at Montgomery Fld (Eastview Pk) behind Kendall King, who went 4-4 at the plate.

Nikolas Zouras had a hot bat for the Grand Lake Mariners. Zouras went 3-4, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the fifth and seventh innings and doubled in the eighth inning.

Cliffton Landess improved to 2-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Irish Hills Leprechauns. He allowed three runs over 6 2/3 innings. He struck out three, walked one and surrendered eight hits.

Mathew Hudson ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his fourth loss of the year. He allowed six runs in six innings, walked one and struck out three.
