Bournigal stars as the Worcester Bravehearts defeat the Nashua Silver Knights, 14-4

An awesome effort by Rafael Bournigal spurred the Worcester Bravehearts (23-9) to a 14-4 win over the Nashua Silver Knights (20-12) on Saturday at Hanover Insurance Park at Fitto.

Bournigal racked up four RBIs on four hits for the Worcester Bravehearts. He tripled in the first inning, singled in the fifth inning, homered in the sixth inning, and doubled in the eighth inning.

The Worcester Bravehearts blew out the Nashua Silver Knights thanks to 14 hits, including zero extra base hits. The Worcester Bravehearts scored six runs in the fifth on the Worcester Bravehearts scored in the fifth on , a fielder's choice, a two-run single by Bournigal, and a triple by John Friday.

Brady Furdon recorded his fourth win of the year for the Worcester Bravehearts. He allowed four runs over five innings. He struck out nine, walked one and surrendered five hits.

Fischer (1-2) took the loss for the Nashua Silver Knights.
