The Seacoast Mavericks (16-7) beat the Pittsfield Suns (10-12) 7-0 in six innings on Tuesday at Wahconah Park after a four-run explosion in the fourth inning.

The Seacoast Mavericks scored in the fourth on a two-run single by Christian Khawly, a two-run double by Kyle Vesnesky, and a single by Marshall Gei.

Vesnesky racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Seacoast Mavericks.

Clayton Chatham put together a nice outing. The Pittsfield Suns managed just two hits off of the the Seacoast Mavericks' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked three and struck out four during his five innings of work.

Austin Hanson was charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed six runs in four innings, walked three and struck out seven.
