An exceptional effort by Greg Stagani hoisted the Worcester Bravehearts (10-3) to a 2-1 win over the Bristol Blues on Friday at Hanover Insurance Park at Fitto.

Stagani's 10 strikeouts helped the Worcester Bravehearts to the victory. Stagani allowed one earned run on three hits and no walks over seven innings.

Mike Coggeshall reached base three times in the game for the Worcester Bravehearts. He doubled in the third inning and singled in the fifth inning.

John Arel (1-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just five innings, walked two, struck out seven, and allowed two runs.
