Extra-inning thriller favors the Seacoast Mavericks, 2-1 winners over the North Shore Navigators

The Seacoast Mavericks (8-5) beat the North Shore Navigators (1-11) 2-1 but needed 13 innings to do so on Thursday at Fraser Field.

With the score tied at one in the thirteenth inning, Kyle Pangallo came to the plate and singled, scoring Michael Hart.

Hart led the Seacoast Mavericks' offensive threat, as he got on base four times in the game. He singled in the fourth and sixth innings and doubled in the thirteenth inning.

Tyler Beck baffled the North Shore Navigators, striking out six batters. Beck allowed no earned runs, three hits and one walk over 6 2/3 innings.

Despite the loss, the North Shore Navigators' Cole OConnor dominated the Seacoast Mavericks' batters, giving up zero runs and striking out nine.

Jack Fossand improved to 2-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Seacoast Mavericks. He struck out two, walked none and surrendered one hit.

Jake Dexter was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just four innings, walked none, struck out one, and allowed one run.
