Ryne Ogren (Elon University) collected three hits, helping the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs (3-4) to an 8-3 victory over the North Shore Navigators (0-6) on Thursday at Doyle Field.
He singled in the third and seventh innings.
It was a good day at the plate for the North Shore Navigators' Drew Delsignore (Mercyhurst NE). Delsignore went 1-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the seventh inning.
Anthony Sylvester (Franklin Pierce) improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs. He struck out two, walked none and surrendered no hits.
Sean Neill (Brandeis University) couldn't get it done on the rubber for the North Shore Navigators, taking a loss. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed two runs.
