Zachary  (Eastern Connecticut State) had two extra base hits, helping the Pittsfield Suns (1-0) to an 11-7 victory over the Torrington Titans (0-1) on Wednesday at Fuessenich Park.

He homered in the fourth inning, doubled in the fifth inning, and singled in the second and sixth innings.

 

 

Arian  (Kenyon College) racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Torrington Titans. He homered in the first inning and singled in the sixth inning.

 

Even though Muchin  (Eastern Connecticut State) allowed five runs over five innings he still recorded the victory. Muchin struck out five, walked two and gave up four hits.

Gimlet (Townson University), Zachary (Eastern Connecticut State) , Hamilton  (SUNY Oswego State) and Hughes (University of Oklahoma) helped lead the Pittsfield Suns. They combined for 11 hits and eight RBIs.

Nalbone  (Mercy College) was charged with the loss. He allowed six runs in four innings, walked one and struck out seven.
