The Wenatchee Valley (11-10) refused to relinquish the lead after grabbing it early against the Blue Mountain (3-24), recording a 13-1 victory on Saturday at BMCC Softball Field .

Nine runs in the first three innings allowed the Wenatchee Valley to put the game away early.

A two-run double by Allie Kopczynski, a two-run double by Korteney Durand, and a two-run double by Karly Malcolm during the first inning and an RBI double by Brooke Writer and an RBI single by Katie Deal in the second inning supplied the early offense for the Wenatchee Valley.

Kopczynski racked up three RBIs on four hits for the Wenatchee Valley.

Malcolm had an impressive outing against the Blue Mountain's lineup. The Blue Mountain managed just two hits off of Malcolm, who allowed one earned run, walked one and struck out one during his five innings of work.

Lauren Cagle (0-5) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed five runs.
