The Walla Walla jump on the Blue Mountain early and coast to 13-3 win

The Walla Walla (6-9) shut the door early on the Blue Mountain (2-15), capturing a 13-3 victory on Tuesday at Walla Walla Community College S.

With eight runs in the first three innings, the Walla Walla left no doubt about the eventual outcome.

A two-run double by Jacie McDaniels and an RBI single by Lyndzie Parker during the first inning and an RBI double by Anna Williams and an RBI single by Mikayla Faulkner in the second inning supplied the early offense for the Walla Walla.

Williams racked up four RBIs on three hits for the Walla Walla.

Mallory Chavez got the win, running his season record to 3-2. He allowed three runs over five innings. He struck out none, walked one and surrendered six hits.

Lauren Cagle ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his fourth loss of the year. He allowed eight runs in two innings, walked one and struck out one.
