The SW Oregon uses big fourth inning to beat the Blue Mountain, 12-1

The SW Oregon (7-2) blew out the Blue Mountain (2-5) 12-1 on Friday at BMCC Softball Field after pouring on seven runs in the fourth inning.

The SW Oregon scored in the fourth on an RBI single by Danielle Crocket, an RBI single by Ereanna Higbee, a three-run home run by Shevan DeFreitas, a single by Brandi Bowling, and an error.

DeFreitas racked up three RBIs on two hits for the SW Oregon.

Lauren Spencer brought the heat against the Blue Mountain during his outing. Spencer gave up just three hits, allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out four during his five innings of work.

Sydney Saxton Siaki had two extra-base hits for the Blue Mountain. He doubled in the second and fourth innings.

Lauren Cagle ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed 10 runs in three innings, walked one and struck out four.
