Jaymee Jackson was cold coming off the bench, but Jackson warmed up quickly as Jackson stroked a key pinch-hit double in the six to lead the North Idaho (33-9) to a 6-4 win over the Spokane (28-16) on Wednesday at Spokane Falls Community College.
With the North Idaho trailing by one, Jackson came to the plate and doubled, bringing home Kekuulani Haake.
Chloe McIntosh had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He homered in the third inning.
Katie Barron brought the heat against the Spokane during his outing. The Spokane managed just one hit off of Barron, who allowed three earned runs, walked four and struck out eight during his seven innings of work.
Michele Strauss ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his fifth loss of the year. He allowed six runs in seven innings, walked three and struck out one.
The North Idaho were sparked by Abby Howard and McIntosh, who teamed up for four hits and three RBIs.
