The Spokane (4-0) shut the door early on the University of Calgary, capturing a 19-3 victory on Sunday at Spokane Falls Community College.

Ten runs in the first three innings allowed the Spokane to put the game away early.

An RBI single by Ryan Murkle, an RBI single by Murkle, , a fielder's choice, and a two-run double by Tyler Huck in the first inning fueled the Spokane's offense early.

Murkle racked up five RBIs on two hits for the Spokane.

The University of Calgary had no answer for Mitch Guiberson, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The University of Calgary managed just one hit off of Guiberson, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out two during his three innings of work.

Stephen Streltzoff improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Spokane. He allowed three runs over three innings. Streltzoff struck out none, walked none and gave up two hits.

Robergo was charged with the loss. He allowed 10 runs in three innings, walked six and struck out two.
