The Everett (5-6) refused to relinquish the lead after grabbing it early against the Olympic (1-12), recording a 17-2 victory on Friday at Lions Field.
With 12 runs in the first three innings, the Everett left no doubt about the eventual outcome.
An RBI double by Kiana Smith and a sacrifice fly by Sarah Dipietro in the first inning and a three-run home run by Cherise Shaver during the second inning helped the Everett put some runs on the board early.Shaver racked up four RBIs on four hits for the Everett.
The Olympic had no answer for Rylee Thomas, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Thomas gave up just two hits, allowed two earned runs, walked five and struck out six during his five innings of work.
Amanda Lyyski couldn't get it done on the mound for the Olympic, taking a loss. He allowed six runs in two innings, walked none and struck out none.
