Evan Johnson came off the bench and never even had to swing his bat as Johnson reached on a stolen base in the three to lead the Bellevue (30-14) to a 4-2 win over the Shoreline (17-25) on Sunday at Meridian.

With the Bellevue leading by two in the third inning,.

Austin Pinorini racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Bellevue. He singled in the fifth and seventh innings.

The Bellevue relied on Danny Torlai to eat up innings en route to the win. Torlai pitched eight innings and allowed one earned run, three hits and three walks while striking out five.

Pete Pennylegion was hot from the plate for the Shoreline. Pennylegion went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the first inning and doubled in the eighth inning.

Connor Anderson was charged with his fifth loss of the year. He lasted just 2 2/3 innings, walked three, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
