Early lead gives the Mt. Hood easy victory over the Clark, 12-2

The Mt. Hood (19-14) shut the door early on the Clark (13-20), capturing a 12-2 victory on Saturday at Mt. Hood .

With seven runs in the first three innings, the Mt. Hood left no doubt about the eventual outcome.

An RBI single by Bowen Ogata and a groundout by Taylor Travess during the first inning helped the Mt. Hood put some runs on the board early.

Nolan McCall racked up four RBIs on two hits for the Mt. Hood. He singled in the third inning and homered in the fourth innings.

The Mt. Hood got the win thanks in large part to Seth Rayburn's dominant, six-strikeout performance. Rayburn allowed two earned runs on six hits and no walks over seven innings.

Chase Vanek (2-3) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed nine runs in 3 1/3 innings, walked two and struck out one.
