A seven-run explosion in the fifth inning lifted the Douglas (17-5) to a 12-4 win in six innings over the Shoreline (10-11) at Meridian Park on Sunday.
The Douglas scored in the fifth on a solo home run by Madison Heggie, a two-run single by Daniella Vilio, an RBI single by Addison Leigh, a two-run single by Jordan Britten-yung, and an RBI double by Dallas Tilley.
Tilley racked up three RBIs on four hits for the Douglas.
Drew Camacho had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He doubled in the second and third innings and singled in the fifth inning.
Keeley Ainge improved to 10-2 on the year by picking up the win for the Douglas. He allowed four runs over five innings. He struck out three, walked none and surrendered eight hits.
Dakota Green was charged with his sixth loss of the year. He allowed 12 runs in five innings, walked four and struck out two.
The Douglas pounded the Shoreline pitching, as six hitters combined for 15 hits, 10 RBIs and 11 runs scored.
