The Centralia (20-10) shut the door early on the Pierce (13-19), capturing an 8-0 victory on Saturday at Centralia .

With six runs in the first three innings, the Centralia left no doubt about the eventual outcome.

An RBI double by McKenzie Wasson and an RBI single by Kayla Capps in the first inning and an RBI single by Katherine Muegge, a fielder's choice, , and a single by Kierstin Smith during the second inning supplied the early offense for the Centralia.

Wasson had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits.

Smith held the Pierce scoreless during his five innings of work. He pitched a shutout, allowing no opposing players to cross the plate on five hits while ringing up three.

Jessilyn Enlow (5-9) took the loss for the Pierce. He allowed eight runs in four innings, walked two and struck out one.

The Centralia were sparked by Muegge and Wasson, who teamed up for five hits and three RBIs.
