A five-run explosion in the first inning spurred the SW Oregon (23-10) to an 8-0 win in five innings over the Clark (13-17) at Southwestern Oregon Baseball Fi on Saturday.
The SW Oregon scored in the first on an RBI single by Bobbi Bertsch, a groundout by Ereanna Higbee, an RBI single by Katelyn Rossback, and a two-run double by Caitlyn Messman.
Bertsch went a perfect 3-3 at the dish for the SW Oregon.
Lauren Spencer held the Clark scoreless during his five innings of work. He pitched a shutout, allowing no opposing players to cross the plate on two hits while ringing up five.
Madison Plummer was charged with his tenth loss of the year. He allowed eight runs in four innings, walked four and struck out one.
