Megan Henshaw was cold coming off the bench, but Henshaw warmed up quickly as Henshaw stroked a key pinch-hit single in the six to lead the Chemeketa (6-12) to an 8-7 win over the Clark (10-8) on Saturday at Wallace Marine Park .
With the Chemeketa trailing by three in the sixth inning, Henshaw came to the plate and singled, scoring Shelby Bucheit.
Henshaw racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Chemeketa.
Kelsey Oldham did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Clark, reaching base two times. He scored one run and had one RBI. He homered in the fourth inning.
Even though McKenna Culpepper allowed seven runs over seven innings he still recorded the victory, his third of the season. He struck out seven, walked six and surrendered eight hits.
Oldham ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his fourth loss of the year. He allowed eight runs in six innings, walked three and struck out five.
