The Walla Walla (19-17) blew out the Yakima Valley 14-3 on Saturday at Walla Walla Community College S after pouring on nine runs in the third inning.
The Walla Walla scored in the third on an RBI double by Lyndzie Parker, an RBI single by Alexa Lindgren, a two-run home run by Carli Taylor, an RBI single by Mikayla Faulkner, an RBI single by Erin Ware, and a three-run home run by Jacie McDaniels.
McDaniels racked up five RBIs on two hits for the Walla Walla.
Lexi Rodriguez reached base two times. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He singled in the fifth inning.
Mallory Chavez got the win, running his season record to 11-4. He allowed two runs over three innings. He struck out none, walked one and surrendered three hits.
Beth Anderson (2-18) took the loss for the Yakima Valley (5-31). He allowed 14 runs in four innings, walked one and struck out none.
The Walla Walla hammered the Yakima Valley pitching as six hitters had a field day, combining for 12 hits, 11 RBIs and 10 runs scored.
