The Yakima Valley offense too much for the Big Bend in 11-3 rout

The Yakima Valley (5-27) shut the door early on the Big Bend (7-19), capturing an 11-3 victory on Saturday at Dunbar Field .

With six runs in the first three innings, the Yakima Valley left no doubt about the eventual outcome.

An RBI single by Bailey Wade, a sacrifice fly by Taylor Rath, an RBI single by Shelby Wilkey, and an RBI single by Shania Carlisle during the first inning supplied the early offense for the Yakima Valley.

Carlisle racked up four RBIs on three hits for the Yakima Valley.

Morgan Goslin was hot from the plate for the Big Bend. Goslin went 2-3, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the first inning and doubled in the fifth inning.

Beth Anderson got the win, running his season record to 2-16. He allowed three runs over five innings. He struck out one, walked two and surrendered seven hits.

Kacy Heide was charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in two innings, walked two and struck out one.
