The Blue Mountain (4-24) took down the Yakima Valley (3-21) 11-1 on Sunday at BMCC Softball Field after slamming the Yakima Valley with six runs in the first inning.

The Blue Mountain scored in the first on a two-run home run by Lauren Cagle, an RBI double by Sydney Saxton Siaki, an RBI double by Allison Wedgworth, an RBI double by Wedgworth, and an error.

Wedgworth went a perfect 3-3 at the dish for the Blue Mountain.

Megan Ulrey had an impressive outing against the Yakima Valley's lineup. The Yakima Valley managed just three hits off of the the Blue Mountain's pitcher, who allowed one earned run, walked none and struck out five during his five innings of work.

Shelby Shelton couldn't get it done on the bump for the Yakima Valley, taking a loss. He allowed six runs in one-third of an inning, walked one and struck out none.
