The SW Oregon (7-19) built an early lead against the Bellevue (23-6), scoring three runs in the first inning, en route to a 5-1 win on Saturday at Linfield.

The SW Oregon scored in the first on an RBI triple by Sam Mitchell, an RBI double by Domenic Hammudeh, and an RBI single by Derek Ridgway.

The SW Oregon were led by Mitchell's hitting. Mitchell went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run.

Tanner Crooks picked up the win for the SW Oregon. Crooks pitched nine innings and allowed one earned run, six hits and three walks while striking out four.

Danny Torlai brought the heat against the SW Oregon during his outing. Torlai held the SW Oregon hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out one.

Cody Anderson (4-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just six innings, walked three, struck out 12, and allowed five runs.
