Heiman's big day not enough as the Blue Mountain fall to the Walla Walla, 12-8

Tanner Heiman hit two home runs, but it wasn't enough to carry the Blue Mountain (11-18) to a win on Saturday, as the Blue Mountain fell to the Walla Walla (18-10) 12-8 at Blue Mountain .

Each team blasted the other's pitching, and there were 20 total runs and 23 hits during the game. Both bullpens were busy with six pitchers used in the game as the skippers of both squads tried to finish it off.

Colton Peha put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Walla Walla. He doubled in the second inning and homered in the sixth inning.

Lowden Smith recorded his second win of the year for the Walla Walla. He allowed two runs over four innings. Smith struck out five, walked two and gave up three hits.

Nathan Pena (1-3) took the loss for the Blue Mountain. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked one, struck out none, and allowed four runs.

The Walla Walla's Peha, Josh Kutzke, Dylan Wilbert and Blake Macdonald combined for eight hits and eight RBIs.
