Oldham hits and pitches the Blue Mountain to 10-7 victory

An impressive two-way performance from Trevor Oldham led the Blue Mountain (7-8) to a 10-7 win Wednesday over the Wenatchee Valley, as Oldham came up huge at the dish and on the mound.

Oldham racked up five RBIs on two hits for the Blue Mountain. He homered in the third inning and doubled in the fifth inning.

The Wenatchee Valley (2-11) couldn't get anything going as long as Oldham was pitching. Oldham held the Wenatchee Valley hitless over one inning, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out none.

Erik Sauve boosted his batting average thanks to a perfect 3-3 day at the plate to pace the Wenatchee Valley. He singled in the second, third, and sixth innings.

Brian Howell recorded his first win for the Blue Mountain even though he allowed five runs over five innings. He struck out four, walked three and surrendered seven hits.

Zace Lewis was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just four innings, walked five, struck out one, and allowed five runs.
