Madison Heggie went 3-3 at the plate as the Douglas (21-6) took home a 7-4 victory over the Everett (15-17) in seven innings at Softball City on Saturday.
He singled in the second and third innings and doubled in the sixth inning.Sarah Dipietro had a hot bat for the Everett. Dipietro went 1-2, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the seventh inning.
Michaela Moore improved to 6-2 on the year by picking up the win for the Douglas. He allowed three runs over five innings. Moore struck out six, walked none and gave up six hits.
Scarlett Nyenhuis (5-7) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed seven runs in six innings, walked four and struck out one.
